All About Mrs. Bilyeu
Reading to my students in Moshi, Tanzania
My name is Anna Bilyeu. In May 2007, I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in Health Promotion. I completed a year of student teaching in a 5th grade classroom, and then moved to Atlanta to teach 3rd grade.
This is my fifth year at Spalding Drive Charter Elementary School and my fourth year teaching fourth grade. In May 2012, I completed my Masters degree in Educational Technology through an online program at Michigan State University. (What can I say? I love being a Spartan!) I am very interested in using technology in the classroom and I can't wait to use some exciting technologies with my students this year.
I am originally from Penfield, New York, and although I am far from my family, I love living in Atlanta. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, and running. My favorite races to run are half-marathons, but this year, my husband and I will be busy training to run a full marathon. I love to spend my summers traveling. The best trip I ever took was to Tanzania, where I taught English to Tanzanian boys and girls. I hope to have many more teaching adventures in the future!
